According to information on file in the Virginia Room of the Fairfax City Regional Library, a member of the Hicks family moved the burials in the Hicks Family Cemetery to Mount Pleasant (Baptist Church Cemetery) in 1965, a move necessitated by a highway project to widen Lee Highway. The Hicks Family Cemetery was located in Arlington, Virginia between Lee Highway (Route 29) and North 22nd Street, near 22nd’s intersection with Cameron Street.
